SOLID ORAL DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEMS

KORTABS technology is the combination of the mechanism of the control of release, based on the formation of hydrophilic matrices by using medium and long-chain polymers, with the advantage of mult-iparticulate dosage forms. This combination allows to formulate products based on APIs with a wide range of solubility profiles (high, poor, pH dependent), with virtually any kind of dissolution pattern. As the total dose is divided in to sub-units, it is possible to obtain, with the same formulation, different dosage strengths of the product. Capsules formulated with KORTABS are mono-dispersed systems and each of them possesses exactly same biopharmaceutical behavior of others. Different kinetics of dissolution, and in-vivo absorption, can be designed in order to obtain the optimal input of the drug into the body, for the most effective therapeutic and safety profile.

KORLAYER is a multi-layered tablet technology consisting of different polymer / active system with release profiles of zero order, sustained release and pulsating release.

KOR-OPS employs multi-particulate dispersion with osmotic agents to control drug release from matrix and or reservoir systems. By targeting specific sites of the gastrointestinal tract, OPS may provide more efficient drug absorption and enhanced bioavailability. The technology can be used to deliver high doses of drugs.

KOR-ODS utilizes polymer-coated drug spheres, modifying the drug solubility and release at different pH’s, resisting the action of fluids in the gastrointestinal tract.

ORAL -LIQUID DELIVERY SYSTEMS

KOR–LDS is an oral liquid delivery system, to provide control release of actives over a specified time period at different pHs. Actives are encapsulated and suspended in a liquid and the release profiles are programmed.
